Deadly ATV crash in the Upstate
A 71-year-old individual tragically lost their life in an ATV accident in Pickens County, South Carolina on Friday evening. The Pickens County Coroner's Office was alerted to the incident at around 8:20 p.m. on Jones Mill Road in Six Mile. Reports reveal that the ATV veered off the road and tumbled down a ravine, causing the driver, identified as David Ricky Morris, to be thrown to the far earthen embankment. Unfortunately, Morris passed away at the scene, as he was not wearing a helmet during the accident. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection to the crash. The incident is currently under investigation by the coroner's office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
