Deadly accident with disabled pickup truck and semi-truck on I-5
A fatal collision between a disabled pickup truck and a tractor-trailer occurred on Saturday morning on I-5 north of Sutterville Rd. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene, and the incident caused lane closures in both directions. Drivers are advised to avoid the area, as the backup extends to 43rd Avenue. One of the vehicles caught fire, and the scene is being investigated and cleared by authorities. The lanes have since been reopened, but the other driver involved in the collision sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
