Deadly accident: SUV falls 70 feet off cliff
In eastern San Diego County, a tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning when a vehicle went off the road and plunged nearly 100 feet down an embankment, eventually landing on its roof. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6:26 a.m. along the 16000 block of Skyline Truck Trail in Jamul. The California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire, and first responders worked to rescue the individual involved in the single-car crash. Despite their efforts, the person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The San Diego County Coroner arrived on site shortly after. Special equipment was used to retrieve the SUV from the embankment. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
