Deadly Accident on Highway 145, Avenue 11 near Cottonwood Creek in Madera County

Tragically, a fatal accident occurred on Highway 145, just south of Avenue 11 in Madera County, California, early Saturday morning resulting in the deaths of two drivers. The collision, which occurred at Cottonwood Creek around 3 a.m. on July 11th, involved a red 2016 Jeep Cherokee and a white 2017 Subaru Crosstrek. The collision happened when the Jeep, driven by a 49-year-old Fresno woman, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with the Subaru, driven by a 25-year-old man from North Fork. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, blocking lanes. Subsequently, a third driver, a 41-year-old man from Kerman, unknowingly crashed into the scene. Unfortunately, the drivers of the Jeep and Subaru lost their lives, while the third driver sustained injuries. Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine the cause.
