Deadly accident near 36th and Glendale in Milwaukee; 1 fatality, 1 person in custody
A tragic incident occurred in Milwaukee resulting in one fatality and one person being arrested while police continue their search for other suspects. The Milwaukee Police Department reported that on Friday, May 2, 2025, gunshots fired in the area of 37th and Ruby led to a vehicle fleeing the scene and subsequently crashing into another vehicle near the day care playground at 36th and Glendale. Following the crash, individuals in the first vehicle abandoned it and fled, while the 61-year-old passenger in the second vehicle was taken to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene uninjured. A 23-year-old woman from the first vehicle was arrested, and the case will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for further action. Law enforcement is seeking the other individuals who fled the initial vehicle.
