Deadly accident in Texas: Driver swerves, exits road

One person was killed in a car accident in San Angelo, Texas due to overcorrecting on Friday, August 23, at 12:18 p.m. The Texas Department of Public Safety released a statement confirming that an 18-year-old named Hudson Disiere was the sole driver involved in the incident. The crash occurred when Disiere was at the wheel of a 2004 Sierra 1500 pick-up truck on the 700 block of County Road 309, approximately 1.1 miles southwest of Tye, Texas. The vehicle was heading southbound on CR 309 when Disiere first veered off the road to the right, then overcorrected back to the left in an attempt to re-enter the roadway. Subsequently, another overcorrection to the right caused the truck to skid sideways to the left, ultimately leaving the road. The truck passed through a barrow ditch, went airborne, and ultimately landed on its left side. Unfortunately, the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
