Deadly accident in Magna results in two fatalities, one critical
A tragic car accident in Magna on Saturday evening resulted in the loss of two lives and critical injuries for another individual. The collision occurred at the intersection of SR 201 and 7200 West around 10:30 p.m. A red Mustang was waiting in the left turn lane facing northbound when a white BMW traveling eastbound on SR 201 ran the red light and crashed into the Mustang. The two occupants of the Mustang died at the scene, while the BMW driver is in critical condition at Intermountain Medical Center. The accident site was cleared by 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the incident as a high-speed collision. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the victims, as next-of-kin are still in the process of being notified.
