Deadly accident closes southbound lanes on section of I-15 north of the city

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near mile marker 106, northeast of Las Vegas, approximately 11 miles south of Mesquite. The collision, involving a sedan and a commercial truck, was reported at 6:49 a.m. Tragically, one individual has been pronounced dead at the scene, while another was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
