Deadly accident closes Highway 115 near Cheyenne Mountain Blvd
The Colorado Springs Police Department has confirmed that a tragic crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals at the intersection of Highway 115 and Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard on Monday afternoon. The collision took place when a vehicle heading south veered into the northbound lanes, leading to a fatal head-on impact. Both drivers involved in the crash lost their lives. Several other individuals were hospitalized, with their conditions currently unknown. The police have shut down all of the northbound lanes of Highway 115 at the intersection, as well as some portions of the southbound lanes. Efforts are underway to clear the crash site by 5 p.m. Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area to facilitate the investigation.
