Deadly Accident: Car Falls 80 Feet from Seattle Overpass
A recent crash in Seattle's SODO area tragically resulted in the death of one teenager, while several others were hospitalized. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the accident. Occurring shortly after 10 pm on Oct. 18, the crash happened off Highway 99 near the West Seattle Bridge. The vehicle struck a barrier, leading it to fall 80 feet onto East Marginal Way South and South Spokane Street. The incident involved only one car with four occupants. The 16-year-old female driver was trapped but survived and was taken to Harborview Medical Center. Two male occupants with serious injuries were able to exit the vehicle on their own. A male teenager was ejected during the crash and unfortunately did not survive. Authorities have yet to release further details about his age or identity as they reach out to notify the next of kin.
