Dead and injured in Pottawatomie County multi-car accident
A fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma on Friday evening, resulting in two fatalities and multiple injuries. The incident took place on the westbound section of I-40 close to mile marker 182, a short distance west of Shawnee. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that approximately four to five vehicles were part of the collision, prompting the request for a medical helicopter to transport the injured parties. As a result of the crash, the westbound lanes have been shut down, with authorities still investigating the cause.
