A 66-year-old Davenport man was killed Monday evening in a Scott County crash, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff's Office. Shortly before 7 p.m., the Scott Emergency Communication Center received a call about a crash near the 24000 block of Allens Grove Road, a gravel road just south of Donahue. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene, and conducted an investigation. The initial investigation found that a white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado truck was traveling north on Allens Grove Road at the same time a green 1992 Ford F-150 truck was traveling south on AllensGrove Road. According to a witness statement, there was a vehicle traveling in front of the Chevrolet Silverado, also traveling northbound. The driver of the F-150 was trapped inside the truck, and was deceased at the scene. At the scene, medical personnel checked the 18-year-old Walcott man who was driving the Silverado and then transported him to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition, the release says. The news release does not identify either driver. The accident remains under investigation by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Team.
