Cyclist hurt in hit-and-run incident in South Salt Lake
A vehicle struck a bicyclist in South Salt Lake early Saturday morning, leaving the bicyclist with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred around 2:30 AM near 2896 South 900 West. The male bicyclist was found with severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital; however, his current condition is unknown. The vehicle involved fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities are now investigating the situation and trying to locate the vehicle and driver, as well as reconstruct the events leading up to the accident.
