The driver of a Tesla in San Francisco is facing charges for his involvement in a series of hit-and-run accidents in January, including one that resulted in a fatality and multiple injuries. The incidents occurred near 6th and Harrison Streets in January, with a black Tesla sedan being involved in collisions with several vehicles, resulting in one death and other injuries. The driver, 67-year-old Jia Lin Zheng, will be charged with offenses including vehicular manslaughter, reckless driving, and hit-and-run. The investigation into the fatal crash, which also involved a collision with an unoccupied Waymo robotaxi, has been extensive and involved various examinations and interviews. Zheng was arrested after being treated for his injuries and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
