Crash partially closes I-83 in southern York County
One side of Interstate 83 is partially closed, following a crash in Shrewsbury Township on Monday afternoon. Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8According to York County dispatchers, crews were called to the scene, near mile marker 3, at 2:19 p.m. Upon arrival, crews discovered a crash that involved two vehicles. Units from the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating at the scene. The presence of any injuries is unclear at this time. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, one of the vehicles caught fire at the scene. As of 3:15 p.m. the left lane and part of the right lane were blocked. Northbound traffic is moving on the right shoulder. Southbound traffic is still moving. This is a developing story and will be updated as we learn more information.
