Crash leaves one dead, shuts down northbound I-75 on Alligator Alley in Collier County
Traffic is backed up along the northbound lanes of Alligator Alley after a deadly crash on Monday afternoon.According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened near mile marker 86 of I-75, and all northbound lanes are blocked. The southbound lanes of I-75 remain open.The Collier County Sheriff's Office said traffic is being diverted to State Road 29 at exit 80.One person died, and other injuries were reported, according to FHP. Troopers will provide updates when they become available.
