Crash involving box truck, utility pole closes Mount Pleasant roadway
UPDATE: The road has reopened. -- MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A roadway in Mount Pleasant is closed Tuesday morning following a crash. Mount Pleasant police closed the northbound lanes of Highway 17 at Belk Drive after a box truck crashed into a utility pole during an accident. Three people suffered minor injuries, according to police. They were all taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. Police ask drivers to use an alternate route.
