In Shelby County, Illinois, a tragic crash on IL-16 early Sunday morning resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to three individuals. Illinois State Police were called to the scene at IL-16 at N 950 E Road around 2:30 a.m. where a single-vehicle accident had occurred. According to State Police, the vehicle veered off the road and overturned, leading to the injuries of three occupants who were taken to the hospital for treatment. Both eastbound and westbound lanes of IL-16 were closed at County Road 950 for several hours after the incident, but by just after 8 a.m., all lanes had reopened.
