Crash in Shakopee injures 1
A collision between a police car and a semitruck occurred in Shakopee on Monday afternoon, resulting in one person being hospitalized with minor injuries, as per the Minnesota State Patrol. The incident took place at County Road 101 and Canterbury Road around 4:45 p.m. The crash happened when a Shakopee Police Department squad car was making a turn onto County Road 101 from Canterbury Road and collided with the semitruck. Footage from a helicopter indicates that both vehicles sustained severe damage. The state patrol reported that the squad car driver was taken to the hospital while the semitruck driver was unharmed. The squad car had its emergency lights on at the time of the collision, and the state patrol is conducting an investigation.
