Crash in Amherst injures 2 severely
A serious crash occurred in Amherst early Tuesday morning, resulting in two individuals sustaining life-threatening injuries. The incident took place on Kensington Avenue around 6 a.m. The driver, a 37-year-old Cheektowaga man, drifted into the opposite lane, colliding with a tree and utility pole. His wife, also from Cheektowaga and aged 40, was a passenger in the vehicle and both were rushed to ECMC for critical medical care. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident and are seeking any dashcam footage from witnesses. All roadways in the vicinity have been reopened following the incident.
