Crash at North Fort Wayne Intersection After Pursuit
Indiana State Police are examining a collision that followed a traffic stop related to drugs in Fort Wayne. A representative at the site mentioned that the Allen County Drug Task Force attempted to halt a vehicle for drug-related reasons close to Auburn Road and Clinton Street. However, the vehicle fled, prompting a pursuit that culminated in a collision involving an SUV and a pickup truck near North Clinton and Wallen Road. Subsequent to the accident, the person suspected of being involved tried to flee but was apprehended. Unfortunately, an elderly woman from the SUV is currently in critical condition, while a man from the truck sustained minor injuries. As a precaution, the suspect was also taken to the hospital, where it was confirmed that their injuries were not life-threatening. The vicinity surrounding the crash was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene.
