
Country singer Conner Smith cited for misdemeanor after deadly car accident
Country artist Conner Smith received a misdemeanor state citation following a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of a 77-year-old woman named Dorothy Dobbins. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department issued the citation a month after the incident. Smith's attorney thanked the MNPD for their investigation and expressed his client's sympathy towards the victim's family. Smith, 24, was charged with a misdemeanor traffic offense after the accident where he hit and killed Dobbins with a truck he was driving. The preliminary investigation indicated that Smith allegedly failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian.
