Country singer causes fatal car accident in Nashville
Country singer Conner Smith was involved in a tragic incident where an elderly woman, identified as Dorothy Dobbins, was fatally struck by his pickup truck in downtown Nashville. The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on 3rd Avenue North near Van Buren Street. The police have stated that Smith failed to yield the right of way to the pedestrian and no charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is ongoing. Dobbins, who was crossing the street near her home, sadly passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Smith, who was not impaired or distracted during the incident, is cooperating with authorities. The accident occurred on the last day of the CMA Fest in Nashville. Smith, a rising star in country music, signed with The Valory Music Co. in 2019 and shared his love for the storytelling in country music. He got married to Leah Thompson in April 2024.
