Coroner identifies 8 fatalities in Lake Tahoe boat outing.
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Division has confirmed the identities of the eight individuals who tragically lost their lives in a boat accident on Lake Tahoe during severe storms. Among the deceased were four members of a family, while others on board were close friends. The group included individuals primarily in their 60s and 70s, hailing from Northern California and Upstate New York. The trip was intended to celebrate Paula Bozinovich's 71st birthday, with her husband Terry Pickles, son Joshua Pickles, and family uncle Peter Bayes also on board. Additional passengers on the boat who sadly passed away were Timothy O'Leary, Theresa Giullari, James Guck, and Stephen Lindsay. The widow of Joshua Pickles expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended condolences to the families of those involved. The incident occurred on Saturday during a storm at D.L. Bliss State Park, leading to the capsizing of their 27-foot Chris-Craft vessel. Two individuals did survive the ordeal.
