Cop hit by car while investigating wreck - KWKT
A police officer in Bruceville-Eddy, Texas was injured after being struck by a car involved in a chain reaction accident on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. on the I-35 southbound entrance ramp near mile marker 314 and Old Blevins Road. According to Department of Public Safety Sgt. Ryan Howard, a Chevrolet Impala was slowing down on the ramp when it was rear-ended by a Ford F-150, causing the Impala to hit the officer. Both the officer and the driver of the Impala were taken to a nearby hospital. While the officer appeared to have suffered minor injuries, he was undergoing further evaluation. The investigation into the accident was still ongoing at noon.
