Construction worker dies after being rescued from confined space in Bal Harbour

Authorities are currently looking into an industrial incident that led to the tragic death of a construction worker in Bal Harbour. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office has taken charge of the case due to the fatality. Detectives from the homicide unit were sent to the scene where the worker was rescued from a confined space by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Despite being airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center, the worker unfortunately passed away. Initial reports of a pipe explosion were later clarified by emergency dispatch calls, with the cause of the incident still under investigation by the sheriff's office. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is also likely to be involved in the investigation. Efforts to contact Bal Harbour Shops for comment have been unsuccessful.
