Troy, TX (FOX 44) - UPDATE: The Bell County Sheriff's Office has informed that northbound Interstate 35 in Troy has been cleared and reopened. However, southbound lanes are still closed, with traffic being redirected to the frontage road. The closure comes after a multi-vehicle accident occurred close to Exit #306 around 9:31 on Friday. Several emergency response agencies were present at the scene. Reports from the Bell County Sheriff's Office indicated that a semi-truck with a trailer caught fire and an explosion was also reported. Officials are advising the public to use alternative routes and anticipate significant delays. Unfortunately, there have been fatalities reported.
