
Confirmation of fatal plane crash near Arkansas golf course
WOODRUFF COUNTY, Arkansas – A tragic incident occurred when a plane crashed in a field to the north of Highway 64, resulting in one fatality and one individual being injured, as reported by officials. Sheriff Phil Reynolds of Woodruff County verified that the crash took place on Thursday between McCrory and Augusta close to the Cyprus Creek Golf Course. The passengers involved were a grandfather and his grandson, both with the last name Looper. Unfortunately, the grandfather passed away at the scene, while the grandson was rushed to a hospital and is currently undergoing surgery. His current condition remains undisclosed. The Woodruff County Sheriff's office stated that the emergency call was placed by a farmer and his wife who witnessed the crash. The aircraft had taken off from Little Rock airport, according to authorities. The cause of the crash has not been officially determined.
