Confirmation from MSHP of one fatality in I-29 multi-car collision, Platte Co.
A fatality occurred in a multiple-vehicle accident on northbound I-29 near MO-E Highway in Platte County, resulting in a closure of the interstate for a few hours. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened when a vehicle swerved to avoid another, leading to it overturning off the road. The deceased individual was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were taken to hospitals with unspecified injuries. The severity of their condition remains unknown.
