
Complaint states driver was traveling at 70mph in fatal Milwaukee crash.
Prosecutors have charged a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, Tremayne Brown Jr., with second-degree reckless homicide and causing death by knowingly operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended after a fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning. The incident took place at 6th and State in Milwaukee where a Volkswagen, driven by Brown Jr., was traveling at approximately 70 mph in a 30 mph zone before running a red light and colliding with a Toyota. Tragically, the female occupant of the Toyota lost her life. Prosecutors mentioned that Brown Jr. displayed signs of impairment, admitting to consuming alcohol prior to the crash. Furthermore, records revealed that Brown Jr. was driving with a suspended license at the time, despite prior citations and convictions related to the same offense. Blood test results are currently pending.
