Community supports 8-year-old Tucker Bruyer after bike accident
Tucker was involved in a serious accident while riding his bike on August 14, and suffered multiple injuries including a fractured skull and broken leg. His mother, Morgan, vividly remembers the fear she felt as she rushed to be by his side, unsure if he would make it. Despite the initial grim outlook, Tucker regained consciousness and began his recovery at Oishei Children’s Hospital. Miraculously, scans showed no brain bleed, providing some relief to his family. With the help of doctors and specialists, Tucker is now at home, using a walker as he adapts to life post-accident. The community came together to organize a heartfelt parade to welcome Tucker back, showing the family overwhelming support during this challenging time. A GoFundMe fundraiser has also been launched to assist the family with expenses as Tucker continues his healing journey.
