Columbia woman injured in Callaway County car crash
A Columbia woman suffered moderate injuries Saturday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Callaway County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 6 p.m. on Route WW east of County Road 259. Troopers say a 2002 Ford Windstar was traveling eastbound when the driver went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle then struck a ditch, a culvert and a tree. The 32-year-old female driver from Columbia was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. She suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Callaway County EMS to University Hospital in Columbia. The car was totaled in the crash and removed from the scene by I-70 Towing.
