
"Collision Forces Closure of Bristol Highway Lane in Bluff City"
UPDATE: The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has issued a preliminary report regarding the collision that occurred on Highway 11E that fatal Tuesday evening. One individual has tragically passed away, and four others, including two minors, sustained injuries in the incident. The THP disclosed that a 2005 Honda Element was traveling east in the westbound lanes near Rock Lane when it collided with a 2021 Kia Sorento in a head-on manner. The Honda came to a stop facing west in the right lane, while the Kia ended up facing east in the left lane. Unfortunately, the driver of the Honda, identified as Robert Eubanks, aged 45, lost his life in the crash. The driver and three passengers, two of whom were minors, in the Kia were injured, although the severity of their injuries has not been specified by the THP. In Bluff City, Tennessee, a multi-vehicle collision has resulted in the closure of one side of U.S. Route 11E. Emergency response teams were spotted by News Channel 11 crews obstructing the lanes towards Johnson City from Bristol. The lanes heading towards Bristol remain open. The THP has shared that it is in the initial stages of investigating the accident and anticipates the closure of the roadway for an extensive period.
