Collision between Car and E-bike in Lake George Results in Serious Injuries

Lake George authorities are still looking into a recent incident involving a car and an electric bike that resulted in serious injuries to two individuals and a dog. The collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Friday near Lake George Battleground Campground. A Chevrolet Equinox driven by 23-year-old Caleb Pratt of Mechanicville was attempting to make a U-turn on Route 9, causing the E-bike, operated by 26-year-old Chase Wormuth of Diamond Point and carrying passenger 19-year-old Araeh Williams of Chestertown along with their dog, to collide with the vehicle. Wormuth and Williams were taken to Glens Falls Hospital and later transferred to Albany Medical Center with severe injuries, while the dog was taken to Northway Animal Hospital Clinic. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from various agencies including New York State Police, Lake George EMS, Lake George Fire, and Queensbury EMS.
