Collision between 2 Delta planes at LaGuardia Airport.
Two Delta Air Lines planes collided while taxiing at LaGuardia Airport in New York, resulting in one flight attendant being injured and passengers having to disembark. Initial reports from Delta indicated that the wing of Endeavor Flight 5155, preparing to depart for Roanoke, Virginia, struck the nose of Endeavor Flight 5047, which had just arrived from Charlotte, North Carolina. Delta referred to the incident as a “low-speed collision” and confirmed that the injured flight attendant received treatment at the scene before being taken to a hospital. Both flights were carrying passengers, who were safely removed from the planes and provided with transportation back to the terminal. Passengers were also given accommodations, meals, and options for rebooking on the following day. Delta apologized for the incident and assured that safety is a top priority. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
