Coach of Orlando Pirates in South Africa hurt in car crash

Abdeslam Ouaddou, former Morocco international and Fulham centre-back, has been injured in a car accident in South Africa where he is currently coaching Orlando Pirates. The incident occurred as the team bus was returning from a match in Gqeberha and stopped to help at a collision scene. Ouaddou and five other staff members were hit by a car while aiding those involved in the initial accident. This unfortunate incident resulted in serious injuries to several individuals, including Ouaddou. They were promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention, with goalkeeping coach Tyrone Damons undergoing surgery for a broken leg. Ouaddou, who has previously played for Stade Rennes and Nancy, took on the role of Pirates coach in July ahead of their upcoming cup final on September 13.
