Closure of northbound lanes after fatal crash on I-55 in DuPage County
Early Sunday morning, a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 55 south of Lemont Road in DuPage County resulted in the death of two individuals and the hospitalization of another. Illinois State Police reported that the crash involved three cars, with two fatalities and one person being treated at a local hospital for undisclosed injuries. As a result, all northbound lanes of I-55 are currently closed, with traffic being redirected at I-355 and the ramps from I-355 to I-55 northbound also shut down.
