Closure of northbound I-75 at M-10 due to overnight traffic accident
A fatal accident involving a motorcycle occurred on Interstate 75 near downtown Detroit, leading to the death of the motorcycle rider. The Michigan State Police reported that the motorcycle was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Trailblazer while traveling northbound on I-75 near M-10 (Lodge Freeway). Both the motorcycle operator and the Chevrolet driver lost control of their vehicles, resulting in a crash in which the Trailblazer rolled over. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead. The northbound lanes between Rosa Parks Boulevard / Exit 49 and M-10 / John C. Lodge Freeway / Exit 49 were closed for several hours but reopened by 7:15 a.m. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
