Closure of northbound 101 Freeway in North Hollywood due to fatal collision
The northbound 101 Freeway in North Hollywood is currently shut down following a tragic accident that resulted in two fatalities. The California Highway Patrol has issued a Sig Alert for all lanes near Tujunga Avenue. The westbound 134 Freeway's transition onto the westbound 101 Freeway and the Tujunga Avenue on-ramp are both closed as well. Traffic is being redirected to the northbound 170 Freeway as crews are on site working to clear the road. The closure is expected to last for several hours as investigations into the cause of the crash continue. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in the vicinity.
