Closure of Colorado's Highway 285 following fatal collision
Law enforcement in Colorado has shut down both lanes of Highway 285 as they look into a deadly accident. The incident occurred before 9 a.m. close to milepost 234 on the southbound side of the highway and involved two vehicles. Two individuals were transported to the hospital following the crash. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has closed the highway from Highway 73 to Log Trail, with no set time for reopening. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the location and use a different route if possible.
