Knight faces eight felony charges related to leaving the scene of the boating accident, resulting in one death and multiple injuries. Knight, a prominent figure in downtown St. Petersburg owning businesses like Jannus Live, resigned from his position at the venue shortly after the incident. This is not the first time Knight has been involved in a boating incident, as records show he was cited for a similar offense in 2019. He was taken into custody on Monday and later released after posting bond.
