Cicada causes driver to crash into pole.
Cicadas are causing more than just noise complaints this season, with one of the insects causing a car accident in Cincinnati. The driver was startled when a cicada flew into the window, leading to a loss of control and a collision with a pole. Blue Ash police shared a photo of the aftermath and advised keeping car windows closed to avoid cicada encounters while driving. Although the incident resulted in no injuries, cicadas have been swarming throughout the area due to their 17-year cycle, creating chaos in neighborhoods and public spaces. The cicada activity is expected to continue for another week before subsiding by the end of June.
