CHP responds to fatal Hwy 4 crash in Brentwood
(KRON) -- All lanes of eastbound Highway 4 in Brentwood have reopened following a fatal crash early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 1:41 a.m. just north of Balfour Road. A traffic alert was issued by CHP at 2:12 a.m., advising that all eastbound lanes of Highway 4 were blocked due to the crash. Traffic was diverted off the highway to Sand Creek Road during the closure. The highway was reopened at 5 a.m. No further details of the collision were immediately available.
