Children in hospital after accident on near northeast side of Indy
Indianapolis police are currently looking into a collision on the near northeast side of the city that resulted in the death of one child and the hospitalization of three others on Tuesday afternoon. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department received a call regarding a two-vehicle crash at 34th Street and N. Keystone Avenue around 4:44 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered that four children were involved in the incident. All four were taken to a local hospital, with two in critical condition and two in stable condition. Tragically, one of the critically injured children passed away later in the evening. The drivers of the vehicles involved have cooperated with authorities. The intersection where the crash occurred was closed for a few hours as investigators collected evidence, but it has since reopened.
