In a tragic incident on Wednesday evening in southeast Wichita, a young boy, believed to be between 10 and 14 years old, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Harry Street and Rock Road. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after police were called to the location at 6:31 p.m. Two suspects, a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, fled the vehicle involved in the crash but were later apprehended with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
