Child injured in Chandler Loop 202 accident
An 8-year-old girl has sustained life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle collision on an East Valley freeway. The incident occurred on May 8 on the eastbound Loop 202 Santan at Kyrene Road. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that four cars were involved in the crash, with the girl requiring extraction from one of the vehicles. Fortunately, there were no other reported injuries. The eastbound lanes were closed for several hours as a result of the collision, while the westbound lanes remained unaffected. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
