Iris was accidentally struck by their car as her mom, Christen Wilson, was backing out of their driveway and did not realize Iris was outside. Iris was rushed to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and is currently in a medically induced coma. The family has emphasized the importance of avoiding such accidents, stressing the need for clear communication and vigilance when around vehicles. In response to the situation, the family has launched a GoFundMe page to cover Iris's medical expenses. According to Kids and Car Safety, many similar incidents occur weekly in the U.S., urging drivers to check for children before moving their vehicles and teaching kids about car safety to prevent such accidents.
