Child flown to hospital after Sea-Doo accident on Lake Martin

Authorities are looking into a situation where a Sea-Doo crashed on a road near Lake Martin, resulting in an injury to a child. The incident occurred on August 31 near Wake Robbin Road's causeway in Little Kowaliga Creek, with a 12-year-old operating the watercraft while towing another 12-year-old on a knee board. The Sea-Doo hit the causeway, became airborne, and landed on the road, causing injury to the child operating the craft who was later airlifted to a hospital. The other child on the knee board managed to release the rope before the crash and was unharmed. ALEA's Marine Patrol Division is conducting an investigation.
