Child dies and multiple injured in deadly Detroit crash
Tragedy struck early Saturday morning in Detroit's east side when a crash resulted in the death of a child and injuries to five others, as reported by the police. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near Gratiot and August avenues. A Buick Lacrosse making a left turn was hit by a Lincoln MKZ, leading to all occupants being hospitalized. Sadly, a young girl from the Lacrosse passed away, while an adult woman and a teenager from the same vehicle are in critical condition. The adults from the MKZ are in stable condition, and an additional victim, found outside the cars, is also critically injured. Authorities are investigating whether this victim was a pedestrian or a passenger in the Lacrosse at the time of the accident.
