Chicago men face charges in separate deadly hit-and-run and DUI crashes.
Two individuals from Chicago are facing serious felony charges in connection with two separate car accidents this year that caused significant harm in one case and tragically led to a fatality in the other, according to Illinois State Police. In the first incident on Feb. 2 near I-94, a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a white Jaguar that fled the scene. After an extensive investigation, the driver was identified as 32-year-old Antonio Jackson, who was arrested on Aug. 5 and is currently in custody awaiting his initial court appearance. The second incident occurred on Aug. 5 when a crash on southbound I-94 resulted in the death of 47-year-old Alassane Tchandikou after he was hit by a passing white Kia. The driver of the Kia, 34-year-old Marques D. Worrell, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death, a serious Class 2 felony. Worrell has been released pending further legal proceedings.
